Children at Sommerville Valley

There is so much to do for children at Sommerville Valley........ 80 acres of natural bush land provides a lot of space for walking, running and playing around. Bring your push bike and discover the area.

The Storm King Dam itself is great fun and it is just a short walk from the campsites. Swimming, tubing, boating, waterskiing and all the water sports are allowed out there.

We rent canoes, fishing rods and sell fish bait, too! You’d like to try to catch some yabbies instead? That’s fine! There is a small dam on the property and crab pots are available, it is good fun. Once you are tired of fishing, you can play volleyball at our sand volleyball court!

Rain or shine, there is always something to do. On a rainy day, have a game of pool or try the air hockey table! There is an internet kiosk and we have Wi-Fi around the caravan park, so bring your own laptop and catch up with your friends on Facebook.  There is a TV room with a DVD player, watch your favourite movie in the evening or have a game of cards in the community room.

Hey, there are campfires allowed, too! Buy load of fire wood and definitely a pack of marshmallows at the kiosk! Yummy.......

After dark, grab your torch and go spotlighting. You can be assured to see some hungry bunny rabbits hopping around. An evening concert of croaking frogs will be your lullaby.

And as Sommerville Valley is a pet friendly park, you don’t have to leave your pet at home this time!
And of course, not to forget, here it is pure nature; 12 km from town, there is plenty of wildlife around: kangaroos, parrots, lizards, possums and more, if you keep quiet, they come even closer to your campsite! And in the morning, the kookaburras will give you a friendly wake up call. Welcome to Sommerville Valley!
